Emergent Curriculum

Our curriculum is ever-changing. As seasons blossom, go to seed, decay, and slumber, we discover the mysteries of the natural world. Children bring their ideas, interests, backgrounds, and skills to outdoor exploration and learning. As teachers observe the children's play and inquiry, they identify ways to support the needs and growth of each child. In this way, teachers and children are co-collaborators of meaningful emergent curriculum. The pace, mode, and topics of learning are born in nature and informed by children who lead the way.
